international 403 combine engine

im wrecking out a 403 combine. engine is a 263 6cyl complete runs great what tractors will this fit and is it worth keeping ???

I have a Farmall 706, the 263 is in it. May be in other also. I am not aware of the differences between tractor and combines setup if any? If the engine runs good, it should be worth salvaging. I just completely rebuilt mine pretty pricy.

A neighbor repowered a 560 with a 403 combine motor years ago, and as mentioned earlier, it should fit the 656 - 706. If it runs decently, it ought to be worth more than scrap price. You might run an add in the classified over to the left. We put an engine from a 303 combine in a 460 Hi-utility 2 years ago. There were some things which you had to use off the old motor--- oil pan, the oil pump pickup, the valve cover, etc. --- but it did work and looks like it was born in there.

Maybe others who know more will chime in on this, but *some* of the combine gas engines of that era did not have replacable sleeves. They were just straight bored engines.
