Wondering where I could buy a stronger governor spring for a h for pulling? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Take the old one to NAPA & ask to see their spring selection board. They have one that is just a bit heavier and works wonders to increase RPM's.

Thanks for the info guys. I have seen some for $25-$30 from some of the tractor shops, but I figured there was a alternative cheaper solution somewhere, but I never thought of that, thanks again.

Sorry if this is a simple question, I haven"t had experience with govenors before. I"m gathering that one can shave down the fly weights or put in a stiffer counter spring and either will increase rpms while not adjusting the lowest idle speed. Replacing the spring with something stiffer will make the throttle respond differently but shaving down the fly weights doesn"t? How does the throttle respond differntly with a stronger spring? Thank you in advance, this board is a wealth of information, extremely valuable!
