I have my Super MDTA torn apart for engine rebuild and new seals in TA housing and noticed my clutch was worn pretty bad. Where do I get a new clutch and what is the difference in the 4 pad style versus the disc style. Mine has the pad style currently, was replaced in 98' but I dont think it did a whole lot of work since then and is almost worn out.

Lehman tractor parts in Quarryville Pa is where I get mine. You can get them from this site in the parts section also or you can type in Bates tractor parts also. I personnally wouldn't use a four disc clutch in that tractor. I used a 6 disc clutch in mine and the heavy pressure plate. Used the same in my 560. The only thing I don't like is the clutch pedal is harder on your leg then the 560 and I guess is due to the pedal being an inch longer on the 560. Hope this helps.

The best price will likely be Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch - 785-548-7437- it will be a rebuilt Rockford clutch with release and pilot bearings, drop shipped from Hy Capacity. Order Monday, you will probably have it by Thursday. You will get credit when you send the old one back. I don't know if you can get the disk style, though. Ask for Mike's opinion.
