Farmall A/B starting tank

Someone asked for this a couple days back and I apologize for the delay but am in the middle of painting my 57 Loboy and it is a time eater. This tank is what I think you want to see. Sold to me as a Super A starting tank. It fits both holes for mounting on the block and also the hole in the hood. The left bracket, however, conflicts with the hydraulic lines on the SAV so I would have to say that this is, in fact, for the A/B. No problem for me as I have both. If not then I am sure someone else will chime in. HTH, Dave

Dave,
Looking at my parts manuals, the only difference I could tell between the A and the SA starting tanks looks like the bottom of the mounting brackets. The A"s have holes at the bottom of the brackets and the SA"s have a slot. Hard to tell on those old pics though. Based off your picture I"d say you"ve got an "A" starting tank. The brackets look like the one on my "A" as well. Interesting though, I didn"t realize there was a difference until you mentioned it.

Thanks Dave, I was the one who asked. I appreciate you posting the pick. If time permits, one picture of the hood would be great also.

once again, thanks, I know everyone is busy............
