Well the rear of this A has pressed steel centers so I am thinking I can dish one in and the other out and have an easy way to but duals on the left side. Has any body done this and if so did you need longer stud bolts to hold the centers on?? Also plan to use one of the heavy cast iron centers from the B and a wheel weight on the right side and also a wheel weight on the outer left dual wheels.
Does this sound like it will work or am I looking for problems??
Thanks

The sruds will be long enough. With the center dished out and a wheel wt is would be fine also. You can set tha left wheel out pretty far by using the wheel position on the reversed center. You can also add wheel wts they weigh 142lbs. The inside dual mite not stak thght as the hole is tapered and only the outside one will fit the tapered stud but i would think it should work. Try it and see if the inside one has any movement. Why couldnt a lock washer berween them be ok. I can send some lock washers if you want some.

I've often wondered that myself. The only problem I see is like Gene says where you don't get the action from the cone of the bolt to position the wheel. Let us know how it works out.

Adding to the comments below, there could be studs for duals that have an intermediate dual tapered flange to anchor the inside dual. It might also be possible to machine some spacers with taper as needed to center the inside wheel. Jim

Well my thinking is this. The inside center will stay centered because of the center part of the axle and the out side dish will center because of the tapper of the lug studs. Does that make since to you?? Or another way O can see to do it is take a lug nut from a car or truck that is bigger then the bolt by a tad and use it as a tapper for the inner dish and then do the same on the out side using the longer bolts made for the cast centers but I think my first will work better then the 2nd idea
