In the search for the next tractor I've run upon a 460 gas. Do you guys think it would be big enough to run a bailer? I would assume so but I just wanna be sure. Also besides gas consumption is there any major issues with these? Thanks for any answers

We baled about 30,000 bales a year for about 12 years with a 460. We pulled the rack behind the baler with up to 165 bales per load on rolling ground.

A 460 is a lot easier on gas than a 560.

What do you mean by "a baler?" There are many different balers on the market, from small square to giant round.

Pulling a wagon? Flat fields or hills?

A 460 would run most small square balers, and pull a small hay wagon on flat ground.

A 460 gas should pull a small square baler and normal sized hay rack on all but the steepest of hills.

Yup, it would benefit the board if you posted what type baler. Just so happens I spotted a Farmall 460 gasser yesterday. I swung around to peek at the fenders; no one around, nuts. The old girl sat there a little sad looking with a beat up grill, but it had a large round baler in tow.
