It is simply a case of Old Iron Disease. Old Iron Disease knows no color variations, place of orgin and has no cure. You can only relieve symptoms by applying abundant doses of Old Iron. You encourage the disease but you aquire Old Iron and deplete your wallet.

It's all good. Just remember that the engine bolts up to the frame kind of crossways like, and when you get two pistons installed you're done with that part.

We all have weak moments, Jimmy. I just hope you can get the green blood out of your system quickly. Green blood is highly toxic and should be purged as soon as possible. Pick up your copy of the bible (150 Years of International Harvester) and study hard.

I must admit that I too had a moment of weakness about 25 years ago. I also purchased (I actually think it came my way through a trade so that makes it better) a John Deere B. That lasted about 2 years before I purged my system.

However, if you indeed have "green fever" then I wish you luck with it and hope it serves you well.

The temptations to go down that evil path are out there, that's for certian...I recently saw a JD B for what I think's a real reasonable price fairly close to home and even though I have no need for one of those green buggers and no idea what I'd do with it other than just fire it up for a different tune to listen to once in awhile, I still seriously thought about straying. Luckily I came to my senses in time, the ad hasn't been reposted so I'm telling myself it sold.

I have enjoyed working on this JD B,But it will never be the tractor the Farmalls of its time will be,The 2 cylinder put-puts take a toll on the cranks, clutch splines and flywheels, however they are easier to work on and the dealerships has a lot more to offer. The sheet metal is the worst ive seen, however they and all other tractors is what feed this world for years, and theres good people on both sides of the fence

See, you guys are looking at this all wrong...

You buy the green one, fix it up, sell it, and then you've got the money for TWO red ones, or one really really really sweet red one!

God is on the throne and prayer does change things!! where are you located ??? know where one is sitting and looking for a home in pa. also an old case,, not sure of model.
