does anyone have a copy of the manual that shows how to install a PTO shaft into the 350 utility? Bought the shaft components but, not sure how it all fits together. Thanks in advance.

The 350, both the Farmall and the International Utility could be set up from the factory internally ro have either a standard pto or an independent pto. You cannot put an independent pto in a tractor set up for the standard shaft and vice versa. Which type are you trying to install?

Good question. The tractor is a yellow utility and had a plated up PTO port. When you take to cover off and look inside, it looks like there is a splined male shaft. The PTO unit I received from a used machine is red and has a engaging lever also with a male shaft internally. I am not sure what I have/need.

Look at the serial tag and the suffix letters there. it may be a trans drive PTO as noted below.
Check that and also if it has no TA it is less likely to work. Also if that shaft will spin with the main clutch pushed down, but not with the clutch engaged, it is a non live PTO tractor. if it will not spin unless the engine is running and is not affected by the clutch, it is probably a live PTO system on the tractor.
One last thing is the New PTO equipped with an axle mounted lever that operates a cylinder shaped linkage on the side of a rather large housing with a Pnut shaped small cap on top? If not it might be a non live new PTO. Jim

P=IPTO without TA
R=Transmission PTO with TA
S=IPTO with TA
There are no common parts between the IPTO and the transmission PTO. And that means all the way up to the main clutch pressure plate.
When you find out how your tractor was built, go to the on-line parts book to see what you need.
