I'm trying to get help figuring out who made this grain drill and what model it is.Any help would be awsome.I was told it's not a Van Brunt/JD drill like I thought it was. It has 13 drops.

What are some of the numbers cast into the gears and other parts?

Someone MAY recognize the manufacturer if you post a few of the numbers.

I don't think it's IH. I haven't seen every IH drill made, but I don't recall one with galvanized hoppers. There's no "FF 11" in my parts book, either. There are "F" & "FA" numbers, plenty of "N"s, but no "FF". VB, Case & Oliver, come to mind, as having galvanized hoppers. Is there a speck of paint left anywhere? Any info on the underside of the hopper lids? How about an IH or IHC emblem on a cast metal part? Hopefully, this'll give you something to go on.

I think that Case had galvanized boxes. look for numbers or logos on the castings. John Deere had JD on all their castings. I have a wooden box VB drill, but it is too dark to see the casting numbers.

It most certainly is a Dempster made in Beatrice,
Ne. I have a parts book on a D-157 and it looks
the same and most part no's. start with F- or FF-
tho on this model I do not see FF-11. Chuck
