I'm getting ready to restore a C and was wondering where, besides this find site, is the best place to find parts, decals, sheet metal, etc. Who has the best decals? I've worked on and restored the green and yellow tractors for quite a while and have found my favorite suppliers for those tractors. I imagine that there are suppliers for the red ones, too.

along with this site, oem tractor parts, steiners, steel wheel ranch, maple hunter decals, bates corporation in bourbon indiana, wengers of meyerstown, berkshire equipment (nos oem) royal center indiana, just to name a few. for carb kits and wide front ends, rusty farmall is the guy to talk to!!

I've bought some stuff from external_link.com. Its good stuff but im pretty sure that it's NOT made in the good ol USA. If you want to get some good original stuff google swap meets

Welcome to Farmall Land and you will find this group of folks very helpful as you move forward with your restoration project.
I just finished my Super C restoration project this spring and one source I would like to suggest for your wire harnesses is the one I used as it was just perfect and original appearing in every aspect. Each and every terminal was labeled as to location it was suppose to go - the bundle was built to the s/n of my tractor like the original bundles. I got it from Lloyd Bigler in Iowa who I think has now sold his business to Pooch Electric. I've seen their ad in the Red Power magazine and a subscription to that publication would most likely be a benefit as well. They are located in Ida Grove, Iowa and phone is 712-364-2131. Another name is Justin Weber of Weber Tractor Works at email www.weberstractorworks.com for NOS Farmall items. You have received some good sources from earlier responses for parts and supplies. Maple Hunter decals are generally thought of as being our best decals and you can obtain a catalog by calling them at 812-894-9759 in Riley, Indiana. Another very good source for CaseIH items is Carter and Gruenewald at www.external_link a company that "bermudaken" on this forum is associated with. My email is open in case you want or desire other contact information. I am in no way associated with the above folks except as being very satisfied with them as a prior purchaser, Hal.

I will vouch for Carter and Gruenewald. A visit there this summer was friendly, helpful and I had a set of decals for my Farmall 340 and 460U hand picked from their old hand written list. No set ordered with the fine print 'should be complete'...this was. I also picked up a Christmas present for me; a toy International 460...and nope, I ain't opened it yet!

The Brillman Company makes very good original style wiring harnesses. All of mine have come from them. For parts call Scott Punton at AP Equipment in Valley City, ND. Number is 800-400-2143. It is a small dealership that Scotts dad opened. Scott and his dad both restore Farmalls so he can get/find just about anything and answer any question you might ever have.
