vintage two point plow linkage

I have my Dad's 1949 Super A Farmall. We used an old two point hitch plow for many years. When the time came to relocate my mother as well as the old tractor, I could not find the linkage from the drawbar up to the hydrolic. Anyone have an idea where I could locate such a piece? Many thanks in advance.

A picture or drawing may help identify what you are asking for

Look at this link -- it shows pictures of a factory 2-point hitch on my 100. I"ve pointed out to several YTMaggers that in my area, two points were ordered, and 1 point FH"s are very rare.

Dad's plow was a single row and attached to the drawbar under the belly. A chain attached to the rear hydrolic bar lifted and lowered the plow. The drawbar had a bar of some sort that attached to a "c" shaped piece actually bolted to the hydrolic on the middle right hand side to raise and lower the front of the plow. Your picture is not what we had. It is possible the tractor is a 1948. I understood it was the first with hydrolics.

Just a normal case of misused terminology...

A Super A typically uses a "mounted" plow. That is, a plow that is bolted to the tractor rather than attached through some sort of universal quick-attach system like Fast Hitch, 3pt hitch, or conventional drawbar.

The process for mounting the plow is:

1. Remove the drawbar, turn it around, and mount it to the front mounting studs. This is probably the C-shaped thing you are talking about.

2. Remove the bolts that hold the drawbar at a set height.

3. Attach the plow to the drawbar using two carriage bolts.

4. Attach the depth control bar from the center hole in the reversed drawbar to the right hydraulic arm.

5. Attach a short chain from the plow to the rear rockshaft for lift.

You are correct about the misused terminology. The original manual is long gone as Dad purchased the tractor from an indvidual when it was a year old. The depth control bar is what I am needing. Perhaps I can locate one now. Many thanks for your help.
