What are you using for seed ? I'm looking for a short season variety. The Rox Orange I planted in early June never matured.

Thanks for sharing. I would like to see that operation in person. When I was young and skinnier, mom would make cornbread and we topped it w/sorghum. It is something I enjoy making on cold Sunday mornings. My late dad liked sorghum on cottage cheese. That barn in the background is neat - tile walls and the cross-buck doors and multiple windows. Looks like you had fun!

How come the first picture looks like harvest time and the second picture looks like mid-April? Can it be that birch or maple sap and sorghum are harvested at the same time?

That is a pretty late start. Maybe that has something to do with it.

We use ours mostly for baking. (ginger snap cookies) The whole farm is done up like the barn, and the old yellow brick house is restored with porches and all. Send me an E-mail and can get you more info on where and when.
Thanks Kevin

We're organic so we can't use treated seeds. I'll have to try several earlier plantings to see if one of them will make it.
