F400 Hydraulics....

How big of a pain is it to get at the hydraulics behind the dash? Is there anything I could do to make it easier? I have something, or more than one something, crying Hy-Tran all over the platform. It makes for adventurous times getting on & off of the tractor with a slick deck. I had the dash panel off about a month ago & the back of it was covered in oil. I'm guessin' I should probably fix that. Might be a safety hazard, er sumthin'.

Thanks,
Mike

I usually pull the sheetmetal off the sides, them pull the dash back, unbolt the shroud and lean it back. the electrical may hang ya up some, oil pressure gauge line may need to be unhooked, temp gauge usually long enough. then u can start it and find the leak.
It's not too bad compared to a 806 or 1466.
