Got the new steering shaft to fix my long broken tractor and someplace lost the plug that holds n the steering shaft. It is a wide front end model BTW. So is this a special part or just a standard 2" cast iron pipe plug. If it's not then what exactly is it called so I can pick one up? Yea I know, how could I lose anything that big. Answer is tall grass, bushes and lots of other projects. Thanks

The plug will need to be machined inside to work unless you can find a used original. If its the same as the ones used on the As and Bs i would have one dont have the parts# but im guessing they are the same.

I have a narrow front 200 tractor I am parting if you think it might have one. I can check tomorrow if you're intrested.

Sorry, so long getting back to you. Modem problems did our home network in for a few days. Mine is a wide front end model and I haven't seen a narrow one close up to know what the differences are. I think I will just try to buy a 2" pipe plug and drill out the center some. If that doesn't work I will get back with you guys if anyone has one that will fit. Thanks for the info.

Why not spend the 5 minutes in a parts catalog and verify it as the same part rather than waste a bunch of effort with a pipe fitting that doesn't fit?
