messicks shows one kinda pricey though
 
I've seen two 140 tachs on eBay in the last few months.

If all you want to do is read the RPMs, any gas tach from 1955 to 1961 will work regardless whether it reads 0-24 or 0-30.
 

I can't find the original, the ones I have seen on eBay have been set for a tractor with 5th gear. I am looking a tach that was set for 4 gears. Should be the same for all the 100 & 200 series tractors. IH Part # is 383085R91. Keep 'em coming, I appreciate all the responses.
 
I HAVE FINALLY FOUND AN ORIGINAL TACHOMETER FOR THE FARMALL 140!!! It"s in great shape, if intersted in what they look like email me and I will email you a picture of it. Thanks for all the replies in researching this part.
