Hi Guys, I bought a IH 844S a 1979 or 1980 Never heard of one before Motor sounds good 5400 hours. Anything I need to look out for on this model? Thanks.

German built IH, was common in eastern Canada and was actually the biggest IH tractor you could buy in Canada that was not a US built model.
73 PTO HP, german IH engine, same as used in the 74/84 series. If I remember correctly, D-239 in the 844 and D-246 in the 844-S ( or was it D 246 and D268??)
As far as I know they were a decent model, just not common in North America overall.
