Adjustable front axel

Wanting to narrow the width on the front axel. Got the tie rods loose, but can"t get the axel tobe loose to slide it in. Soaked and soaked- heated- pounded etc. What"s the way to get this loose? Thanks in advance

Dropped smaller pins in the axel and have been driving it around also.---No luck

Heat them up, not so much as to heat the inner tube as well. I have also put a bottle jack between the two sides and have used some pressure to move them.

Jacked front end up , pulled at bottem of spindle with chain and comealong from back axle . Once it turned I could rock it with 24in pipe wrench and 6 ft cheater . Lots of sweat and bad words . Drove mine for a year with smaller pins and clamps loose brush hogg'n and using loader never did come loose . Now that I know how far they extend inside the axle could try the wax trick but would have to flow 12-14in. in .
