H timing- 2nd update

Took the distributor apart again. When I originally took everything apart and cleaned it up, I never actually verified that the centrifugal advance was working. The springs are fine, and the weights are free, but the distributor shaft itself was stuck and wouldn"t allow the weights to open or retract (the rotor wouldn"t snap back when turned in the opposite direction) if that makes any sense... Thanks for all the input. I imagine that the throttle response will improve quite a bit.
 
perfect! I would suggest using the original springs if they ase in good shape, the weaker springs might be OK for pulling using premium fuel, but not for normal use. Jim
