The best thing you can do for your tractor is work it. The more you use it the better it will perform and the more it sits around doing nothing the more it will drive yah crazy with issues. I love my 340 and think it's about the handiest tractor they made, kinda like an "H" but with all the bells and whistles. Have fun. PUTTER

Farmall 340 I "grew up" with had the name of "SHORT DOG". Guess that was appropriate as it was a short turning tractor. I loved baling (#46 IH baler) with it. Ours had the TA that was handy for slowing down a bit to make a turn while mowing...also useful when baling in heavy hay. Great little tractor...wish I had one with some fast hitch toys to play with.
