Super H Bull Pinion Cage

Going through my Super H and repairing and replacing as necessary. Removed Bull Pinion cages, taking care not to damage o-ring seals but both left and right seals broke apart from age. Case IH as the replacement seals but they are pricey. Readily obtainable Viton round o-rings of the right size are available. Has anyone used regular Viton type o-rings in lieu of the actual specified replacement seal?

The $30+ replacement (I ended up buying them...arg) is nothing more than a very large Viton oring. I would certainly put a large oring in there with no worries. I appologize, I really should have taken it in or measured it to try and get a dash number on it.

I bought mine from Joe' Farmall for $10 each. So far no proplems.
