Increasing HP in a Farmall H

I was wondering what options are out there for increasing a stock H to ~40-50 hp. I assume that your standard overbore kit for an H will only net a few hp at best. I"m open to any ideas you have.

(quoted from post at 18:05:23 09/30/10) a 350 block and pistons and a propane head will get you there.

There is another thread on this same exact topic that says you can pull the sleeves and run them in the holes with the same effect.

You can have your H block bored at a machine shop to accept 350 sleeves and pistons. Install the tallest step-head or high-altitude pistons you can get your hands on.

The correct answer, however, is "Sell the H and buy an M."

No one is making NEW H engine blocks, and quite a few of the used blocks have now been sent to China, so if you're determined to ruin a good block for some short term thrills, go for it, but please don't complain when you can't find a good block to replace the one that can no longer be re-sleeved and made like new again.
