3 point setup on 240

My dad and I just hauled our 240 home from the auction. We also bought a 6-foot 3pt. flail mower with it for $90. We hooked up the mower to the tractor and drove up on the trailer and hauled it home. I am wondering why the 3 point arms seem to be quite rigid. I don't know if this 3 point setup was factory or aftermarket. Luckily the arms are the perfect width for the mower but I don't know if they will work with my brush hog and back blade or not. Does anyone have pictures of the 3pt setup on a farmall 240 (row crop)? I will try to post a few of mine asap. Thanks

others who know more will chime in but I think the 240 was originally a 2-point. you probably have adapter arms in your 2 point (lower links) or a complete after market 3-point kit.

That's got to be it.

The 240 has "Fast Hitch" with a 3pt adapter.

As long as your other 3pt hitch implements adhere to the Category I 3pt hitch standard, you will be able to use them with the 240 and the adapter.

It could be the factory 3-point Fast Hitch. It would be a lot easier to tell if you posted a picture of what you have, rather than expect people to guess what you have and try to post pictures of their guesses.

I have a 240 row crop with factory three pt. I havent used it and it is sold the buyer is coming in a few wks but it is factory three pt i can see where they just added a bracket for the top link and bottom arms could be replaced with the fast hitch type i did get a manual from I-H for this tractor.
