Calling gene bender...carb parts

Gene and anybody else.. Does anybody know of a company that I can get a carb overhaul kit that has the throttle and choke plates as well as the throttle shafts, various plugs, and screws included in the kit for a zenith 9749 carb?
 

Throttle plates are usually sized to the finished diameter of the throttle bore of THAT specific carburetor, and usually will not interchange even with the same make and model carburetor. That is why it is very rare to find a carb kit WITH a new throttle plate.
 
well, I understand what you are saying. I would agree with you too, but I need a new one. It is trash. Rusted beyond usable condition. So I must find a new one. Along with all the other stuff inside it.
 

If the carb is that bad, you would be better off to just trash it and buy a new one. Those small Zenith and Marvel-Schebler carbs are still being produced and are readily available from a variety of sources.
 
Im afraid you are probably right. I guess I'll just build the carter that I have. I was trying to save the zenith beacause it is set up for kerosene and it would keep it original.
 
I dont know of any kits that would have tose parts shafts ok but not the throtle or choke plate and i dont have anyi do have some rusted ones that arent any good so my carbs are junk also but i do have some good ZENITH for those series.
