Anyone ever saw a seat like this???

This is a seat I got with several tractors I purchased. I got 2 Super A's, 1 A (hand lift), and a 140.

I've never seen a pan seat quite like this one with this type of edge.

The latch underneath is also different than the one on the Super A & A tractors I've always seen.

Yeah, the outer "ring" is missing. The original seat was upholstered with a black metal ring riveted around the outer edge. They were available in the late thirties and early forties on standard models...don't remember seeing one on any of the "super" models, which came later.

Early seat i think i still have one but with a seat pad you will never know

So, are you saying this seat came off of an early Farmall " A " tractor. All of the seats I've ever seen had a ring around them, but looked to be "crimped" instead of riveted.

Did you also notice the different syle latch mechanism than the usual one found on the Super A's, etc.???

my farmall 100 has that type of seat pan latch.

Could have come from either A or B no way of telling but it is an early seat 39 when the tractors came out.

had one like that on a B farmall when i was a kid...
