Hello Folks; I have a question with regards to splitting a Farmall C. Under the torque tube there is access to disconnect the clutch linkage but just a little more towards the rear of the tractor is a small access hole. I can see a nut threaded onto something but can not see anything more. I am guessing this nut with have to be removed but hoping someone will know what this nut is for.Is it possible this nut is on one end of the counter shaft? All help is appreciated!!

Look at the Diagrams for parts caseih.com. Select the country, go to the top and find the parts and service tab. Select start search here. Fill in Farmall in the box. Scroll down to C. Select chassis. Bingo. Jim

You don't have to disconnect any clutch linkage. Just get the bell housing bolts out & any external linkage. They are simple to split.

Question is where are your splitting? If between the motor and torque tube, then, as teddy52 says, there's no need to undo the clutch linkage.

If splitting the torque tube from the tranny, then yes, but just undo the linkage from the pedal to get it apart. The rest of the linkage, if you need to take it apart for any reason, will be easier to get at and see when you open it up.

Sounds like you forgot the hy lines draining the hy fluid then the tthrottle linkage the choke rod then the wiring the gas line unhooking the gas tank amd how to do the steering simple huh
