Farmall A PTO disassembly

I am removing the PTO from my A to solve an issue with it hard to engage. My question is, is the bearing that supports the shaft for the belt pulley assembly (mine doesn"t have the pulley assembly, just the delete cover) suppose to slide off the rear of the shaft? I have pulled on it with just my hands and have had no luck. Before I get the pullers out I just wanted to check to make sure that is how it comes off. I did remove the bolt and bushing from the end of the shaft.

I am also going to remove a sleeve from the engine block, how do you guys go about it? I have been spraying it with PB for a day or two. I would imagine that someone makes a puller for it, just haven"t looked yet.

Thanks

I recently installed the belt pulley pto assembly on my A. The gear on the long shaft is pressed on and has a keyway. It took a gear puller to pull the gear off the shaft. There is a bolt that keeps the gear from sliding off. Hope this helps.

The sleeve will come out easily (usually with a block of wood from the bottom). A puller with a puck to fit the bore is needed sometimes but usually not. They are "O"ring mounted and easy to remove. Jim

I tried the block of wood but the sleeve just kept eating into the wood. I will try to find a harded wood.
