Despite the picture of my W-400 with a rockshaft and all the sheet metal intact, you can't easily add a three point hitch on a W-4 without removing all the W-4 tin around the operator's platform. That probably means fenders too.

Nobody makes the axle brackets for the round axle housings so you are on your own there.

If you are a creative sort and have the time and tools, a two point hitch with its more restrictive movements could be doable. My hitch is now fully Fast Hitch capable but I have limited the side-to-side movement to zero.

I have not done it, but I have considered a three point for my I-4 using a rock shaft simular to what Wardner has done on his 9, and attaching the forward ends of the two hitch arms to the brackets that attach the normal drawbar to the axles. I have not done all the measurements, but, I think it will work.

I can understand you confusion Harold. I also installed a 2 point on my 650. In that case, I removed the floorboard. Did the same on my 660 and, again, had to remove the floorboard.

On my W-400, I retained the horseshoe drawbar, and attached the Fast Hitch sockets to it with 1" x 3" x 30" flat bars going back to a location near the drawbar hinges.

In my previous post, I used the word "easily". That means the purchase of a ready-made three point hitch. All the tin has to go and secure brackets made for the axle. If designing from scratch, it can be done but the floorboards will limit vertical travel. If one were to use upward sweeping draft arms, he could recapture some of that lost movement.
