I am still having no luck tracking down a rear main bearing for my WD-9. The bearing half I have says:
259943-R1
6 64 H 24T
STD

That part number does not surface at the dealer, but the parts guy is still working on it. Do any of you have any answers, or hints where to look. Amazingly enough, I was able to still buy all the felts and gaskets!
Thanks

here are some bearing numbers for the front, rear and intermediate bearings for the wd-9

259 965 r91 standard (will work for 57 135 dax)

259 968 r91 .30 undersize (will work for 52 137 dax)

263 188 r91 .002 undersize will work for 68 380 dax)

263 195 r91 .032 undersize

these numbers came from my old parts manual for the 9 series tractors. try berkshire equipment in royal center indiana, they may have some nos bearings .

Have you tried an engine machine shop? They have sources to order pistons, rings, bearings, etc. to fit practically any engine.

try Tom Underwood 785-749-5231 kansas. what is wrong with the old one that your only replacing it?

May be that the number dealer sees is for 2 bearings. Sometimes IH had a different number on single pieces. Don't know if that is true for your problem. Does the rest of the crank main bearings except the center have the same number?

It wouldn't occur to me to go to the dealer for a bearing, but then the bearing store is a lot closer. Anyway a bearing store probably has a better than original right on the shelf.
