Farmall C Engine Sleeves

My 1950 Farmall C is going to get a rebuild soon. The engines in the C are wet sleeve correct. My qustion is to go from 3" bore and use the 3.125 bore kit, will the sleeves fit right in or does the block need to get machined? Also where can I find a sleeve puller "puck"

I have the flat pistons now, would using the dome ones have clearance issues? While it is apart I am going to upgrade it and am justing looking into whats the best route to go.

To add 1/8" of bore, the sleeves are thinner therefore no block machining should be needed. The outside diameter of the new sleeves will be the same as your old ones.
Take the old sleeves out and measure the inside diameter of the block at the bottom of the sleeve where the "O" Ring seal is. There was more than one diameter used there, depending on the vintage of the block. Once you know what you have, you can get exactly the sleeves you need.

I had a machinist make my "Puck".

There shouldn't be any interference issues going to high compression pistons unless someone has shaved a lot off the head previously. I had that problem on one head and solved it with a just a little bit of machining on the head. Turned out to be not a real big problem.
 
I made a sleeve puller for that series tractor (have used on an A, B, and Super C) by buying a steel v-belt pulley at the local hardware store. I found one that was just the right diameter to fit under the sleeve. Then I used a piece of threaded rod through the pulley bore and then used a piece of 1/4" plate with a hole in it resting on top of the head studs. I just use a wrench to turn the nut and pull out the sleeve. Roger
 
Before you go out and worry about making a sleeve puller, get it apart. You might find they simply come out with a quick tap from the bottom.

My 2 cents based on how the sleeves on my Super A came out.
