Muffler Repair

Wrap it with thin guage galvanized sheet metal and hold it in place with about 3-4 sheet metal screws. I did an oval one like that , looks and works ok .

Unless that muffler is something really rare and impossible to find a replacement for, why patch it? Tractor mufflers are not that costly unless we're talking about a newer, bigger tractor.

Not to mention the only ill effect from having a couple holes in it is having exhaust soot on the muffler! I ran mine over and I still use it!

yea wrap it up with some flashing and get a couple larger diameter hose clamps to hold it in place. but the other guys are right Tractor supply sell mufflers for 30 or less.

You lie! I went tonight and in Burlington, WI they were $34.XX That is almost $5 more!

Edit - That was for the M muffler. I chose that one bc it was the largest and I would assume most expensive. They were all $30-35 for any brand or size IIRC.
