IH Middle Buster ?

Uncle Gerald put this up for sale in his front yard, but I'm not sure if it's IH. It's in a sugar cane area, so it may be some Hi-Crop version.

3 point hitch, toolbar, coulter, and middle buster are original. Gauge wheels were added later.

The hub on the coulter has part number P01929, and a very small spot of red paint. The brace across the back of the buster has part number P011258. The spread across the back of the buster is 28 inches at the top rear.

My email is open if you can identify who made it, or want Uncle Gerald's number

IMHO it is very likely IHC because it is my understanding that IHC acquired P & O (plow maker) and continued to use P O as parts designations for IHC plows.

Here in the Deep South, we use middle busters to break the land or plow the row, then chop the row, or pass a three-bladed disk hiller to prepare the row.

I don't think I've ever seen the half-of-a-middle buster type of plow used in the South to turn the land over or break new land like they do north of the Mason Dixon line
