compresion ratings on Super H

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on what the compresion ratings are supposed to be on a Super H. My main thought, is trying to determine if I need to rebuild the engine or not. At what compresion shoud it be rebuilt. Currently it seems to have a lack of power,so if I can rule out an engine rebuild, hopefully I can look at other things if the engine is infact Ok

the first sign would be knowing how much oil its going through and how smooth the engine runs, such as maybe a burnt valve.lack of power does not necessarily mean the engine is worn out.

Readings (assuming an accurate gauge, open throttle, good cranking speed, and all plugs out) should be 120 or so. Uniformity is more important. Timing, and fuel delivery are fundamental, as is correct valve adjustment, and clean air intake. If it is reciently rebuilt, look for other contributions to low power first. Jim

Actually my Grandpa and I are working on it togther, and we have not run a compression test on it yet. Although we are planning to do it when we next work on it. I believe that I will probably put on another post, when I have some readings. I was just wondering perhaps for a general range if there is one.
