Looking to contact Wardner

There used to be three or four salvage yards I could go to.

The guy in Ludlow, VT sold out after his new building collapsed under snow weight. He was my favorite. His stuff went to Troy, NY but I can't find him. I thought he was on US Rt 20.

The guy in Elliot, ME doesn't have much that I can use. That's L&S tractor.

The guy in Bosrah, CT turned over his yard to his airhead son. The kid sold out to somebody on Long Island, NY.

There is MacFadden in Sharon Springs, NY. That's over 200 miles for me. Big salvage yard.

There is Jim in Bedford, NH. He doesn't seem to have time for me. He will sell on eBay. He won't let me poke around his yard.

There is another small guy near a westerly exit on I-93 between Concord and Tilton, NH. I was there once but he wasn't around.

You can try Rick Merrill in Louden, NH . He has new and used parts. Has about 60 tractors. Pricing is OK.

It's pretty bleak around here. I get alot of stuff off eBay. You have to create searches for what you want and the parts will pop up eventually. I also use Steel Wheel Ranch in Everest, KS.

I think the only New England CaseIH dealer is in Lewiston, ME. Salem Farm Supply is just over the VT boarder in NY.

Village Power in Berlin, MA just had their IH parts franchise yanked for not posting annual sales in excess of $150,000. But they still have some parts.

Hazelton's in Candia, NH dumped CaseIH last year.

Call any of the officers of Chapter 18, IH Collectors. You can find contact info at their website.

Thanks for the leads. I have tried several people you have listed already. I am trying to track down a used wide front end for my H (aftermarket with the tie rods behind thee axle).

I was hoping to avoid shipping on such a heavy item.

I'll keep looking.

Thanks again,

Mike.

I am guessing you will get the best price from Rick Merrill but he will probably have to order a new one.

When I was a boy and before I could drive, there were three dealers that I could ride my bicycle to. Those were the good old days. Of course, I didn't have any money then so it didn't make much difference. I still live in the same house (barn actually).

Got e-mails out to most of these companies. Stretching my search out to NY and PA...seems to be some more salvage yards in these areas.

Thanks again Wardner and timvt.

Mike.
