M alternator belt length

The M is converted to 12 volt with the Delco 10SI alternator. When I got the tractor it didn't have a belt. The one I have now is the wrong length to tuck the alternator under the hood.

Does anyone know what belt length works to get alternator under the hood? What is the length of the belt for the generator? I assume that the generator belt length would work, but wanted to check before I buy another belt that doesn't work.

Actual belt length depend on how the alternator is mounted and on the diameter of the alternator pulley.

FWIW the belt length on mine (homemade bracket and alternator with a 2-1/2" pulley) is 33". Yours will probably be within +/- 1" of that.

I put a Hitachi 1-wire alternator on my M and used the same belt.
