574 Throwount bearing

You will have to split it to replace it. There are a few oil lines under the cover between your feet that have to be separated and while your in there you might just as weel put the clutch in too. Get the heavier clutch also, replace the pilot bearing. You can either just cut it out with the torch, or try some grease in behind the bearing with a shaft and hit the shaft to force the bearing out.I never had any luck with that. You want to be careful how hot you get the crank cutting the bearing out so you don"t damage the main crank seal.

Hi Justin, depends on several things, is there a loader on the tractor? Do you have a good work place, level floor to work on? Proper floor jacks and splitting stands and tools. On both sides of the front axle drive a block of wood between front axle and boltster to prevent front from tipping.
If you are lucky it will have the long flexible hydraulic hose to the oil cooler up front and there will be enough slack to split without disconnecting oil cooler hydraulic hose. The fuel line comes off the top of the first fuel filter, the return fuel line comes apart at the firewall by the battery box. Remove large electrical from battery first, the other electrical should have a molex connector under the battery box. Then there are bolts and studs around the bell housing, there are two under the battery box.
To put it back together we usually just put pressure plate and clutch disk on the shafts, push tractor almost together so that studs and bolts in bell housing are threaded and then install pressure plate bolts to flywheel thru the inspection plate at the bottom.

BE VERY CAREFUL, make sure you have proper jacks and splitting stands.
