A couple more orphans following me home

I went over to a friend's house to pick up a regular M and some parts I had bought from him a while back, as the county got a call from his neighbor, and he has to clean house. He's a pretty serious collector, and usually only brings home "decent" projects, no junk. Had an AV sitting there ready to go on the scrap truck, pretty complete and not too bad, neither of us could stand to see it go to China, so- it's out on the trailer instead of my M, along with a decent WFE and some other parts. Also had a couple SM's he was hoarding, one pretty complete and straight Stage 1, and a Stage 2 that's not as nice but it does have the live juice & such, so it looks like the Stage 1 is coming home with me, too. It's a sickness, I tell ya...

I suppose, if you will pass on the stage II I could use it :D I want to use it for field work so the live hyd would be perfect for me!

It is pretty ridiculous to think of anyone sending an AV off for scrap. It would have to be in some kind of horrible condition not to be worth more in parts or for restoration. Unless of course your friend is one of those who would rather scrap it than sell it for value. There are those out there who are so worried you might make a buck on it that they just won't let it go.

Has quite a few tractors to restore, and a bunch of completed ones, and in a bind with the county, otherwise would never consider scrapping the AV. The two SM's were intended for restoration, he wants to keep the Stage II, so I'll take the Stage I home. If someone reasonably local is interested in the AV for restoration, it would be available- I'm much more into the M stuff, we just didn't want it to go to China

Somebody get out of bed on the wrong side and wake up grumpy? He wouldn't even consider this if he wasn't in a bind, and he has a bunch of nicer project tractors, a lot of stuff has to go fast. If you're interested in the AV, great- I don't need it, just wanted to save it, as he did- you'd be jumping to a very wrong conclusion if you think he's happy about it. I'll probably be having some WFE stuff available soon too, all my tractors have WFE's already- have the bolster, gearbox, frame rails, etc still together. I can use an MD hood in reasonable shape, trading material for a WFE?

Please give a general location for this guy...I'm sure there are enough people reading here that pretty much nothing would have to go for scrap.

Stuff is in the North SF Bay area, kinda out of the mainstream of most of the YT crowd- several folks have been interested in the AV, but the shipping distance is a killer. I do have a buddy here in town with a restored AV, saw him at lunch and his ears perked up, maybe he'll give it a home amongst his Cushman Eagles and Doodlebugs LOL.
He's sold a few tractors already, and I'm also buying the Stage 1 SM, so I'm actually taking 3 home including the regular M I had already bought. I also got 3 sets of wheel weights, the frame rails/bolster/WFE, and his extra wheels & a couple roller rim/tires. There's a restorable regular Super A, needs sheet metal and such but has the hydraulics, and he has a nice restored one that will be for sale soon. I think he has a couple M shortblocks & such, I'll be back in a couple days, I think he also has a couple W-4's and some extra parts for them out back
