New Owner of a Farmall MD...Parts???

Just went and picked up my 1951 Farmall MD today. Starts easily on gas a switches over to diesel perfectly. Pump pegs out the pressure gauge even at idle. Oil Pressure is also very high. Rear tires are new and fronts are very good. Cost me $1300 and a 10-hour round trip. Anyway, anybody know where I can find a new exhaust manifold for it??? Thanks!

I don't know of anybody who makes a reproduction, but I haven't been looking either. It shouldn't be too tough to find one at a junk yard.
Why do you need a new one? Are you sure you can't weld it back up? My local welder is a wizard at welding cast and has saved me a lot of money in just my SMTA exhaust manifold.

No new ones around unless you can find a NOS one. I have one that I would sell to you if you need one. It is good. Let me know.

(quoted from post at 06:29:57 09/12/10) Mine has a hole rusted out in the bottom and the top pip is broken off. Not sure if it could be fixed...

The top pipe is no big deal. That is why I needed mine welded up. If the hole acutally rusted out on the bottom there probably isn't much to weld to so it couldn't be fixed easily. You could probably weld a patch over it and be good to go if it is in a flat place. It sits up under the hood enough that you and the people you told would be the only ones that knew it had been repaired. It is your money so do what you see fit.

I think the dumest thing I have done is I purchased a Dozer 9 WD 2 ser#98457 International I am told it is like TD9 need manual any help would be appreciated. Thanks John

I have one the piece that bolts on the top is gone that your muffler would slide over and the two bolts are broke off but there is enough sticking out to get a hold of. could heat them up and turn them out. other than that it is in good shape. Make you a great deal.
