TA Removal - 560

We have the tractor split at the bell housing and at the transmission. I have on order an entire TA assembly as my overrunning clutch was shot. We pulled the transmission side of the TA with no difficulty but we can't get the engine side of the TA out. At this site, someone told me I could split between TA housing and transmission and simply pull out the TA and replace it. New TA will be here next week. Can the engine side of TA be pulled from the rear. Please help.
Thanks,

You have to split at engine and remove input shaft and pto shaft from the front to get ta out. Only thing you can do from the back before pulling front is pull out rear output shaft. Then the overrunning clutch rollers will fall out and if you were going to elminate them you could put it back together. I have done this to get rid of the overrunning clutch completely so it doesn"t hamper trans gear roll back for just having direct drive. You are replacing TA so you need complete teardown.

Have you removed the large spanner nut that holds the TA clutch on?

How about the 4 bolts that hold the bearing cage to the center housing? They go in from the rear.
