IH 284 Thermostat

I realize this is an old thread but it shows up in searches.
[b:be15de71c6]Motorad 2028-160[/b:be15de71c6] is a 160 degree thermostat that fits the 284 with the Nissan SD16 three cylinder. It is available on Amazon. People cry about parts not being available for these. They are just not looking in the right place. These engines were used in forklifts and Nissan cars in asia. The SD22 diesel uses many of the same parts. Rods, rings, inserts, valves. Cylinder # specific gaskets are the rub. You can get them from the Phillipines fairly easily. These are great little tractors. Mizers on fuel and if treated properly will do the job for as many uyears as mine 30+

The previous owner must have had sticker shock as well as in the past as there was no stat at all in my tractor.
Has anyone been able to crack the nut for the 284 diesel air filter element?
I have had no luck anywhere crossing by part number or by size.
This element is currently over $200.00 from Case.

I found napa filter number 6270 fit perfect.
