IH 340 Utility

I'm wondering if the exhaust on a 340 utility is supposed to come straight up through the hood like on a farmall or if it gets routed down along side the tractor. Thanks

Yes! You will need to peer down the hood for an opening, otherwise, it runs below the left floorboard. I peeked in the photo archives.

mine are both up through the hood on the gas and diesel.

Ours was a gasser with a loader on it, and the exhaust ran underneath

My 340 U gas has the underslung exhaust. Much nicer as it gives the tractor a lower profile.
