Anyone fill me in on how to do this? I am trying to remove the floor pan to do some cleaning and painting. Looks like the center pedal (left brake) needs to come clean off after which I am thinking the shaft that runs thru the torque tube to the left side brake control rod will slide out thataway and allow me to remove the pan. Does not look like I need to remove clutch pedal or right brake pedal but feel free to correct me if I am wrong. So this left brake pedal has a set screw which I took out but the pedal does not move on the shaft. Little ways up there is a bracket the shaft goes thru and a cotter on the other side of that bracket. Bracket is welded to pan. Not real clear what the cotter does either. Not finding anything in my reference materials and the Cub site is not opening for me today. Any help appreciated.

Thanks but doesn't do me a lick of good because I cannot post on it. Already know it's not an easy job, just need to know what the order is and if there is anything to make it easier. Don't care to break something while forcing the wrong part.

Ron, just saw your response to my other post and many thanks for the link! Forgive my frustration I am having a really rotten day here but I will forego the details on that. Will have to sort out my issues with the Cub site later. I will have to be reset manually as the automated e-mails from the site never reach me. Everything I touch turns to shat today!!!

Sometimes the pedal is rusted on so badly that it won't come off for love or money. Even heat won't get it to budge.

You may have to cut the shaft to get it out, and replace the shaft and pedal with used parts.

Well, (fortunately!!) I don't think that will be the case as there is no rust on any of the parts near it. I will do the heat/soak thing and see how it flys.
