amp meter wiring farmall cub 6 volt , with cut out regulator

Amp meter wiring for the farmall cub I have is positive side of amp meter to battery terminal on cut out regulator and negative side of amp meter to terminal on starter. Is it correct to connect the light switch by wire to the negative side of the amp meter?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO The light feed connects to the same side of ammter that wires to the cutout relay...

Battery (via big battery cable at starter) on one side of ammeter, wire to genny (via cutout relay) and loads all on other side

John, Sorry for so many posts. It wasn't intended- Thank you the information. The cub I'm working on has major problems with the wiring. Just got the generator back from Acme Electric here in Seattle. They had to disassemble the generator as someone had the generator wired incorrectly on the inside. Aeccording to the generator repair person the generator was wired for maximum output and would have destroyed itself had it worked.
 
I only replied once above but it sort of locked up and when it released it had posted 4 times lol

Since the genny has been to a repair shop, BE SURE AND POLARIZE IT BEFORE START UP as how can you be sure at what polairty it was set when they tested it???????????
