Found this site last week after bringing my grandparent's tractor home. It's been sitting in a barn for at least 10 years, it doesn't run but thankfully it will turn over with the hand crank. New tires were needed to get it rolling again and onto the trailer.

Anyway, I'll do a ton of reading here and promise to limit my dumb questions to a minimum.

I would post a pic but the board won't let me due to being a new account.

Congrats and welcome. Great little tractors. Most everyone here is willing to help and share their vast knowledge.

The only "dumb" question is the one that is never asked, and if you don't ask, you won't get an answer, so don't worry about it and just ask.

A word of advice in using these forums. There are several folks on here that DO know what they are talking about and DO have the knowledge and experience, and then there are those who like to talk and be friendly. All of them are trying to be helpful.

Be careful with the hand crank... there are specific rules t follow...

And great to hear from you. I am piecing together my fathers 140 to do work on the property and will hopefully have another project in the spring.

Welcome aboard you will get hooked on all the info on this site. Just remember if you are young or old(like me)and you ask a question, somebody has been there and done that. My son(about 30 yrs younger) has just got interested in restoring a 51 MD he picked up. Wait dad is mighty interested to. Lets keep some of this old iron alive.
