Hello:
I found a nice Farmall MTA. Very nice tractor, doesn't smoke, Good TA, Good transmission, narrow front. Needs a paint. What is a good price for it, they want $3,500 for it.

$3500 is about as cheap as you will find one in good condition.

$3500 is way out of line for an MTA that has a good TA. Tell us where it is and how to contact him. That is just a ridiculous price.

Sounds like a good deal. How are the tires? I had to put 4 new on my MTA this spring. Little over $1400, just somethin to take into account.

$3500 is a good price for a complete MTA with major mechanical issues.

If this MTA does not have major mechanical issues, then JUMP ON IT, or tell me where it is so I can.

That is a good price although I was extremely lucky to come across an MTA in original working condition with a working TA for $2900 just 2 weeks ago. I have been told by many people that I won't find one for that good of a deal again. I would say that $3500 is a good deal for an MTA. I know many people who have paid much more.

A couple years ago I watched one sell at a small farm auction for $3400. It was pure junk, no sign of paint, bent sheet metal, rotten tires, had'nt run in years. I've thought about that several times since and I just don't get it.
