I have recently learned of overdrive units available for F-12 and F-14 Farmalls, but not seen any here in New Zealand. I have a 1939 F-14 and I am interested in learning more about teh units. What makes were there, how they were fitted, and then to possibly acquire one as well.
Appreciate your assistance

The most common ones are Heisler and Behlen, although I have not seen a Behlen on a 12 or 14. Not saying Behlen didn't make one, I just have not seen one. Heisler made overdrives for all the f series tractors. Unlike the Behlen overdrive which gave you a road gear the Heisler sped up all the gears turning a four speed into a eight speed. It also sped up the pto and belt pulley too.

Heisler units sell for around $500. Sometimes they are on ebay. Be careful in what you buy as the 12 and 14 have a different transmission input gears and the Heislers are specific to the 12 or 14. They do not interchange.

Here is a heisler on one of my f20's
