350 Utility Hydo pump

Just bought a very nice 350 Utility very good Factory loader on it but it has very little power and is very very slow to move. The three point has a little more power but I don"t think it is near 100 %. Increasing the RPM provides some improvement. I suspect the pump, is this a good bet?? Is anyone rebuilding these or should I buy a new one? Used one? How can I know it is the right one?? Any advise would be appreciated

Look in the caseih.com on line parts diagrams. There may be two different models of pump. (Thompson, and Cessna I think) they are interchangeable, so getting a good one is the only issue. New is best, but pricey. There could be a stuck relief valve, but it is most likely a poor pump. Testing the pump pressure at the output would be a sure finding. Jim

1200 is normal, 1000psi will do. Do not crank up the regulator (internal) more than 14 to 1500psi, it will wear faster. Jim

Thank you guys for helping me with this. Just one more question, Where and what manuel should I get for this tractor? I plan on keeping her for the rest of the ride.

For sure you will want to check that screen under the seat. I just went thru this with mine, hitch got where it would hardly move and power steering was barely working. That screen was completely covered with a slimy semi fluid coating and the screen was sucked in on itself like wadded paper. I was able to clean it up and gently push it all back into shape. Works now as it should. Worst thing is getting that cover off, it is very heavy and awkward to handle, I left the hydraulic valves attached and just lifted it enough to get at the screen, reused the original gasket with a dab of silicone in the bad spots....Good luck.
