What Is It ?

What is it ? Local hardware store has 8, and doesn't know what they are for. Center flat tab is slotted as if to catch small chain. A swing chain fit it best, a small tow chain didn't fit the slot well.

What is it, hardware store wants to know.

It's not a muffler bearing, or a right angle smoke bender, so it has to be a thingamabob. I haven't seen one in a long time! oldiron29
