I know everyone dislikes these types of questions but I would really like a ballpark figure on what this tractor is worth.(I know, whatever someone will pay but I would like a starting point.) It is a 1967 Farmall 706 factory LP, factory TA delete, dual PTO, 3 point hitch in north Texas. The engine starts and runs great. New water pump, new seat, new paint, tires are nothing to brag about. Here is the bad part, I believe the hydraulic pumps are shot, when the 3 point works it is very slow, and the power steering is very weak. I changed filters and fluid twice and went through valves and linkages. I want to sell this thing because the work that it needs is way over my head.

changing that hyd pump is no big deal. I hate to see you give up on a good one just for changing a hyd pump. Still hard to say what it is worth without a look. I love LP but I am in the minority, not many people will even consider owning a LP tractor. go figure.

I hate to give up on it too, but I have been pricing those pumps and I don't think I have the money for a project like this. I was hoping to sell it to someone who had the time and money to finish her up.

the key could have sheared on your pump drive, take it out and look before you buy a pump. I found that once AFTER I had bought a pump.

might want to remove seat and inspection plate and see if combining valve is out of adjustment I had that problem on 656 was a sticker to set as far as time. a new pump at a tractor parts store in our area says 331 for new pump 9 gpm I was going to buy a pump but had a guy flow test old one and was good sometimes just adding parts doesn,t fix it
