Anybody Ever Seen This?? Cub Add-On.

Here is a picture of a Farmall Cub that has been used as a children's book character, "Tractor Mac". If you look closely, it has a mouth and has eyes to resemble a "face".

I was wondering if any of you guys have ever seen this tractor/set up. I would love to have a "mouth" for my Cubs to take to the shows, and also have some "eyes" too.

The mouth looks as if it is fastened on the tractor by the use of the hand crank hole, and the eyes seem to be stick-ons for the headlights.

I would just like to know where I could get the same face (or one that looks like it); as well as some eyes like that.

I know that they have to be custom made for this particular character; but thought maybe some of you would know who made it or where I might could get me one made.

The mouth probably came off some other toy or amusement ride, painted to match and glued on. I've never seen one sold/advertised specifically to fit a Cub.

I've seen this tractor or one just like it at a tractor show. I believe it may have been at the Red Power Roundup in Laporte, IN.

HAHA, its not that bad. It would be a huge hit at shows and just looks really neat. I figured the guy had it made. Maybe someone out there knows where I could get one.

It's all custom. Go on Amazon and look up the Tractor Mac books. The mouth and eyes match the illustrations.

Tractor Mac in the books is drawn to look like a British M style tractor, with the headlight eyes up at the grille. I guess in real life he's a Cub because that's less intimidating for the kids and easier to transport.

My little nephew is a HUGE Tractor Mac fan.

The author of the books was at the Canandaigua Steam Pageant doing a book signing with the real-life Tractor Mac in the picture.

Too bad the organizers of the Steam Pageant had no idea he was there... They could've promoted it and had a huge crowd for Tractor Mac.

Yea, I"ve seen the books before. Well if anyone knows where I could get a mouth and eyes made like that let me know cause it would be neat to have. I"m sure the eyes could be made easily at a graphics/decal place to fit over the headlights. The mouth however, wouldn"t be as easy, and I"d want it to look pretty close to that one.

Yall let me know if you come up with anything. THANKS!

If you live near a large city, the local sign shop typically can do plastics like that fairly easily from Lexan or what ever. It won't be dirt cheap, but not all that bad either if they know what they are doing.

Some kind of preliminary molding or the like is always a big help if you can get it or make it. Also a quicky casting taken from the tractor nose helps to get the mounting right for the main piece unless you provide the nose parts to work with.

Tractor Mac and the author of the books was at RPRU in Laporte, Indiana. We got him to sign books for our grandkids. I asked about Tractor Mac being a Cub when in the books, he looks like an M, although the headlights are not right. I guess he needed eyes so he looks like a british M. He told us they used a cub for the shows because the trailer he uses just would not handle an M. Too big and too heavy.
