It gets my ire up when I see/read/hear about folks doin" stupid stuff like the item on ebay. This fellow ruined a good piece of fast-hitch equipment when the world has plenty of three-point blades. And he has sold the fast-hitch points. Least-wise he admits he made a mistake. Maybe I'd better go have some more coffee. GGRRRRR!
poke 4 what ------ me off

Can't blame the people that don't know what they have. Not everyone knows everything.

Can't see what difference it makes what other people do with their property unless they are an abutter and it affects my property.

But if you are willing to put a contract out on this fellow, I'll go up there and give him a piece of your mind. Make it two contracts and I'll talk to the buyer of the fast hitch parts as well. I'll make sure they never butcher another piece of IH equipment.

I have this Stradivarius violin. I'd like to get some decent vibes out of it. Do you think an amp conversion would help?

I am with Warner on this if anyone buys a piece of equipment he should be able to do what ever he likes with it. The way I see it if anyone does not want equipment or tractors to be butchered they should buy everything they want to protect.

I can't tell from the pictures what/how he has butchered anything. Looks like he sold some parts from it. If you want it whole, buy what is there and then look for the parts to restore it. We all do it everyday.

As to your point, I agree. If we all took Wardner's position then the guy with the most money would be able to do whatever he pleased, up to and including buying great works of art (which this is not) and destroying it on a whim. Something like what they do on TV these days. Gold coins, classic autos, and other irreplaceable pieces of history destroyed for entertainment. That is why ethics and moral conscience are such an important part of society. It tells us that, just because we may own it, we do not have the right to destroy it.

But this is a tractor blade, not the Mona Lisa.
